Saori Kunihiro is a Japanese calligraphy designer who creates wide range of things using calligraphy. Her warm, organic style is evident in her traditional style calligraphy as well as her modern, high ability designs. Kunihiro also works on shop logos, packages, event banners, and even kimono design.

Kunihiro has been gaining popularity recently with her recent Hiragana Pierce project for it’s unique application of calligraphy. As Kunihiro describes, “I want to create art and design that naturally blends with everyday harmony”. She continues, “the common trait in my work is the desire to communicate the flexibility, beauty, playfulness, and composition of Hiragana in a modern context”.
