Shunsuke Satake is a freelance illustrator based in Tokyo who mainly creates illustrations for advertisements and print. His illustration style is indicative of mid-century modern illustration, with a fun and playful style that Satake says is, “tailored for children, education, and families”.
Satake recently collaborated with chef Shuhei Hayashi to create “Cache Cache no Mori”, an interactive event aimed at bringing design, parents and their children, and French sweets together in one place.
In a makeshift forest brought to life with Satake’s playful illustrations, children and their parents were invited to participate in a treasure hunt for French snack and sweets. Satake’s animal illustrations offered guidance through the treasure hunt, providing hints and clues along the way.
