1000 Facebook Likes – Arigato Gozaimasu!

1000 Facebook Likes

A big thanks to all for following our content!

We are happy about this milestone of more than 1000 followers on Facebook, but would like to take this chance and make our readers aware about some changes at Facebook.

“Liking” a Facebook page is basically the same thing as subscribing to an RSS feed or following a Twitter account. The user has opted in to receive updates from a company, service or a web magazine such as DMIJ.

Facebook has changed their terms and from now on followers can not be sure to receive page updates, unless we pay money to reach them (although they have opted in and want to receive updates). One option to make sure you receive notifications seems to be checking the “Get Notifications” option on the Facebook page.

While we of course enjoy posting on DMIJ it does take time to write articles and edit images, but it also requires money for translations and site maintenance. Unfortunately we can not spend additional fees to reach our Facebook followers.

Therefore, to make sure you receive updates about new articles on DMIJ, we recommend to also follow us on other channels, like these:

Love,
Your DMIJ-Bot

p.s. We are planing to publish more interviews with Japanese designers soon. Stay tuned!
